Activity of OUTech in applying for Structural Funds

Structural Funds are the main financial instruments used by the European Union to reduce disparities and promote economic and social cohesion across European regions. Opole University of Technology has been an active participant of projects co-financed by these funds. In the years 2004-2006 OUTech participated in 8 projects subsidized by European Regional Development Fund and 12 projects subsidized by European Social Fund. These initiatives created a great opportunity to gain profound knowledge about project management. Experiences in the past years laid the foundation for the new challenge in the period of cohesion policy programmes between 2007-2013.

The largest number of projects in the next phase were realized to Human Capital Operational Programme (29 projects); 27 were co-financed by Regional Operational Programme of Opolskie Voivodeship, 7 projects were co-financed by OP Cross-Border Cooperation Czech Republic – Poland; 2 was realized in the frame of the Innovative Economy Operational Programme.
